Frequently asked questions

How does billing work?

Each calendar month is considered a rental period. You’ll receive an invoice before the 29th of each rental period for that month. The rental amount is due by the 15th of the following month (i.e. pay by April 15th for March). You can pay however you’d like. With

six riders, you’ll never come out of pocket. If you drop to five riders any month out of a 12-month rolling period, you still won’t come out of pocket. On the second month or more of having five or fewer riders, you’ll be charged as if you had six riders. We are flexible with billing schedules, and can accommodate almost any preference.

What happens if I get a flat tire?

Our highest goal is to keep agents safe on the road. If you have any vehicle trouble, notify a Select Auto Rentals representative. We will ensure a licensed professional inspects the vehicle as soon as possible and makes any necessary repairs. Rest assured you'll have transportation and repairs will be done promptly. If you come out of pocket for any cost of approved repairs, we will reimburse you the full amount!

What happens if I get into an accident?

If you are approved to drive a vehicle issued by Select Auto Rentals, any physical damage to the vehicle in the event of any accident is covered. Vanpool coordinators and approved drivers will not be held financially responsible for damages as long as the vehicle is being used in accordance with its prescribed uses as outlined in the rental agreement (commuting to/from work, picking up/dropping off riders, and refueling). If you are found to be at fault for an accident, we even provide some excess coverage to third parties if needed, but drivers are expected to have their own liability insurance.

What happens if I want to stop renting the vehicle?

If you ever want to stop renting a vehicle, just give us at least one week's notice and you can return it. Any billing for partial rental periods will be prorated.

What happens if I lose my keys?

If you can't gain access to the vehicle for any reason, just let us know. We will get you back on the road as soon as possible. The vanpool coordinator ultimately is responsible for the cost to replace any keys. This cost can range from $300-$500.
